Unless something magical happens, I don't think I'm going to do a 60+ person NYE bash again.
It's not about the money, it's about arranging a venue. I don't even want to throw another party at my mom's house (too far from home for me), so I'm not going to do a very good job at convincing her to let me.
And I also don't want to think about finding someplace to rent, or protecting someone else's parent's shit from damage. I'd do my place in the Mission, but it'd be too small.

The party. It is definitely now a wedding reception. There will be cake, and everything. R is getting married tomorrow in Reno.

Ok, nevermind, I'm not moving either.
I was *so* clear with my former roommates-to-be: I AM TWO PEOPLE. MY GIRLFRIEND WILL BE LIVING WITH ME DURING THE ENTIRE SUMMER. Really? That's ok with you? Great! Make sure you tell all the other folks. You're sure they won't mind? Well, tell them anyway please.
So, I met with two more of my ex-future-roommates yesterday evening. They had no idea about this, and were... not extatic, but didn't seem upset.
So, an hour ago, I got a call from my ex-future-landlord. No, it is not acceptable. No, there's no talking to be done about it. Motherfuckers. There were like three other houses that I was going to look at. And there were two places that I might have applied to move into a week ago. Now I begin anew in my apartment search. I'll be staying at home at least an extra month due to this bullshit.
Ack ack ack ack. Whatever. They turned out to be a whole lot more boring than I was hoping anyway. I move on. I am undeterred. I will persevere.
